Smart air and flow control using miniaturized and de-centralized devices is on the Fraunhofer ENAS’ R&D agenda for some years. Various actuators, such as Synthetic and Pulsed Jet Actuators as well as actuator arrays have been established. Their integration in industrial applications, lightweight aircraft structures, and other applications has been successfully demonstrated with partners from industry. This workshop will work out the current status and the future potential of these devices. Special emphasis will be given to new and future applications.
