Meet us at the MikroSystemTechnik conference and at productronica 2017

This fall, visitors to the MikroSystemTechnik conference and – for the first time – to productronica will have the opportunity to get to know the Fraunhofer Group for Microelectronics personally – from October 23 to 25 at the technology fair at the Hotel Infinity in Munich’s Unterschleissheim district and, from November 14 to 17, at the Munich trade fair grounds (Messe München). This year, the member institutes’ appearances are dominated by the Research Fab Microelectronics Germany.

One-Stop Shop for Technologies and Systems – the FMD offers in particular SMEs more comprehensive and easier access to the next generation of technology.

At the MikroSystemTechnik conference from October 23 to 25, the Fraunhofer Group for Microelectronics will present itself for the first time under the auspices of the Research Fab Microelectronics Germany (FMD). The cross-location technology pool, which was called into existence in April, links the research and development infrastructure and the technological know-how of eleven Fraunhofer institutes from within the Group for Microelectronics, as well as from Leibniz FBH and Leibniz IHP. In addition to many Fraunhofer presentations within the conference program, two Fraunhofer directors are also members of this year’s conference management: Prof. Christoph Kutter, Fraunhofer EMFT, is Chairman of the MST conference and Prof. Klaus-Dieter Lang, Fraunhofer IZM, is one of the three Co-Chairs.

The conference has been an important national forum in microelectronics for many years. It represents a central platform for networking, particularly for medium-sized enterprises. Over the course of three days, the conference attendees will gain an overview of the potential offered by German companies and research institutions within electronics and microsystems. This year’s joint Fraunhofer booth will have exhibits from Fraunhofer EMFT, ENAS, IMS, IPMS, ISIT, and IZM.

2017: attending productronica as the Fraunhofer Group for Microelectronics

From November 14 to 17, 2017, ten Group institutes will be exhibiting their latest technologies at the world’s leading trade fair for the development and manufacture of electronics: Fraunhofer EMFT, ENAS, FHR, IAF, IISB, IMS, IMWS, IPMS, ISIT, and IZM. Colleagues from Fraunhofer  ILT and IPT as well as from Leibniz FBH and IHP will also be manning the joint Fraunhofer booth in Hall B2 at Messe München. Together with the two Leibniz institutes, the Fraunhofer Group for Microelectronics will be showing its customers the potential offered by the cross-location technology parks of the Research Fab Microelectronics Germany. Trade fair attendees will have the opportunity to look at research and development results in the areas of “Silicon-based technologies,” “Compound semiconductors,” “Heterointegration,” and “Design, test and reliability.”

The trade fair public can get a more in-depth look at the Research Fab Microelectronics Germany at the kick-off event “Industry meets FMD” on November 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. in conference room A22.
